On February 25, 2023, 31-year-old Kentraill L. Hampton was fatally shot in the 7000 block of Sprott Street in Columbia, South Carolina. Responding to reports of a shooting, authorities found Hampton with a gunshot wound to his upper body; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
