Athell Johnson, a 24-year-old resident of Columbia, South Carolina, tragically passed away on June 29, 2012. The circumstances surrounding his death were both harrowing and complex. Johnson, along with Jamall Pratt, 23, was found in an apartment on Garner's Ferry Road on June 28, 2012. Both men had been tortured and shot in the head, leading to their deaths the following day at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital.
