On March 26, 2023, 25-year-old Wynter Nicole Straw was fatally shot outside her apartment in the 700 block of Mallet Hill Road in Columbia, South Carolina. The incident occurred around 6 p.m., when deputies from the Richland County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Straw deceased from gunshot wounds.
