On May 12, 2023, 18-year-old Antonio Hafan Riley Jr. was fatally shot in Columbia, South Carolina. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. in the 2500 block of Crofton Way. Upon arrival, Richland County Sheriff's deputies found Riley with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford identified the victim as Antonio Riley, 18, of Columbia.
