In the early morning hours of December 4, 2016, the life of 29-year-old Brandon Jamar Goodson, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Columbia, South Carolina. Deputies from the Richland County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the apartment complex at 3611 Ranch Road, where they discovered Goodson's body. He was found leaning against the wall of an apartment building, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
