On September 14, 2024, 37-year-old Jibaris J. Veal of Columbia, South Carolina, was found deceased alongside 40-year-old Corey B. Johns of Lexington. Their bodies were discovered inside a 2008 Jeep Liberty, partially positioned within a shed on a property in the 300 block of Koon Store Road, near Blythewood. Both men had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
