On July 9, 2023, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Columbia Police Department (CPD) officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Ogden Street in Columbia, South Carolina. Upon arrival, they found 18-year-old Jamari J. Shields with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
