In the summer of 2023, the life of 18-year-old Jamari Jashon Shields was tragically cut short on a Sunday afternoon in Columbia, South Carolina. On July 9th, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of Ogden Street, near the intersection with Two Notch Road, following reports of a shooting.
