On the evening of August 23, 2023, a shooting occurred at a residence on College Street in Reidville, South Carolina. Responding to reports of gunfire, deputies from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office arrived shortly before 10 p.m. They discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as 33-year-old James Allen Stewart from Greer, South Carolina, was pronounced dead at the scene.
