In a quiet home in Spartanburg, South Carolina, a tragedy unfolded that cut short the life of 51-year-old Nayda Pastrana Aguila. On September 8, 2023, law enforcement was called to a residence where they discovered a grim scene. Inside, Nayda, a woman of Puerto Rican descent, was found deceased from gunshot wounds. She was not alone; with her was Luis Manuel Serpa Ocasio, who had also been fatally shot.
