On September 10, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Sumter, South Carolina, resulting in the death of 13-year-old Akeem Pugh. Police responded to a shooting outside a house on Flamingo Road, where they found Pugh lying on the ground next to a parked car. He was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead.
