In the quiet community of St. Helena Island, South Carolina, a sudden burst of violence shattered the weekend peace, leaving one man dead and another wounded. Thirty-six-year-old Malcolm Aiken was standing with a group of people outside a home on Ball Park Road when a vehicle drove by, unleashing a spray of bullets into the gathering. The chaotic moments that followed left Aiken fatally wounded; he was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:19 a.m.
