On February 17, 2024, the body of 31-year-old Demon A. Parrish from Augusta, Georgia, was discovered in a wooded area off Silver Bluff Road near Atomic Road in Aiken County, South Carolina. The property owner found Parrish's remains around 6:05 p.m. An autopsy later confirmed that Parrish died from a gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide.
