On August 1, 2024, at approximately 6 a.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a gunshot wound resulting from a domestic incident at a residence on Shell Point Road in Shell Point, South Carolina. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 46-year-old Stephanie Elizabeth Fries deceased from multiple gunshot wounds to her face and head.
