On the evening of August 3, 2024, 21-year-old Cory Rider Vickery was fatally shot outside his residence on Donna Lane in Easley, South Carolina. Deputies from the Pickens County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m., discovering Vickery in the yard with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being transported to Prisma-Greenville Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
