In October of 2021, a 41-year-old man named Augustin Demsa was shot and killed in Easley, South Carolina, following an altercation. The incident occurred on October 13th at a residence on Zion Heights Court. When deputies from the Pickens County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, they were met by 71-year-old Virginia Louise Cook, who informed them that she had shot a male resident after a dispute.
