On the night of November 7, 2024, a tragic incident occurred at the Enmarket gas station on East Main Street in Ridgeland, South Carolina. At approximately 11:20 p.m., an argument ensued between 21-year-old Ridgeland residents Rodney Lloyd Jr. and Nylon Chaney. The confrontation escalated, resulting in Lloyd being shot multiple times. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but Lloyd succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
