In the late hours of a Monday in Jackson, Mississippi, the life of 38-year-old Elvin McKinley Levy, a Black/African American male, was violently cut short. On February 13, 2023, while at the intersection of Medgar Evers Boulevard and Ridgeway Street, Levy was confronted by three individuals who attempted to carjack his white Infiniti.
