Death by Force

On February 13, 2023, 38-year-old Elvin McKinley Levy was fatally shot during an attempted carjacking at the intersection of Medgar Evers Boulevard and Ridgeway Street in Jackson, Mississippi. Levy, driving a white Infiniti, was approached by three individuals who attempted to steal his vehicle. During the confrontation, he was shot in the chest. Despite managing to flag down officers for assistance, Levy succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital.
