In Jackson, Mississippi, on March 15, 2023, the life of 15-year-old Kaden Jamon Chapman was tragically cut short. A student at Lanier High School, Chapman was the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting that occurred on Agape Drive.
The young man, born on August 22, 2007, to Jasmine Chapman and Herbert Brown, was found with a gunshot wound and his death was ruled a homicide.
The incident prompted an investigation by the Jackson Police Department, leading to the apprehension of multiple suspects.
Authorities announced the arrests of Lewis Thames and Yvonne Timms in connection with the shooting. Subsequently, another 15-year-old, identified as Nick'kiffer Allen, was also taken into custody and charged with murder. Investigators determined that the suspects were in a vehicle when Chapman was shot.
