On May 31, 2023, a tragic drive-by shooting occurred in Greenwood, Mississippi, resulting in the deaths of 45-year-old Dewanna McClee and 20-year-old Brandon Shaffer Jr. The incident also left McClee's 24-year-old son, Tamarkus Martin, critically injured.
