On August 16, 2023, Charles Ray Brooks Jr., known as C.J., was tragically shot and killed in Vicksburg, Mississippi, at the age of 23. The incident occurred around midnight in the 1200 block of Wright Road, where law enforcement discovered Brooks suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
