In the late evening of August 24, 2023, the life of 26-year-old Jalin Devanta Austin, a male resident of Jackson, Mississippi, was tragically cut short. The fatal incident unfolded at an apartment complex located in the 1600 block of Raymond Road. It was around 8:30 p.m. when the Jackson Police Department received a call and dispatched officers to the scene.
