In the early morning hours of June 8, 2019, the life of 27-year-old Ravonte Flowers, a Black/African American male from Jackson, Mississippi, was tragically cut short. Flowers was discovered lying in the street on Tifton Drive, the victim of multiple gunshot wounds. First responders arrived at the scene around 1:30 a.m., but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
