On December 5, 2023, 29-year-old Leviathan O'Neal "Kang" Troope was fatally shot in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Officers responding to the scene found Troope deceased from a gunshot wound to the head.
In connection with this homicide, Aberdeen police arrested 18-year-old Theodis Reese, charging him with accessory to murder in Troope's death.
