In the small community of Glendora, Mississippi, a tragic event unfolded in the days leading up to Christmas. On December 23, 2023, 20-year-old Kwaiyhone Hodges, a Black/African American male, was discovered deceased. An investigation launched by the Tallahatchie County Sheriff's Office, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and the Glendora Police Department revealed that he had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head.
The joint investigation into Hodges' death led to a
breakthrough in February 2024. Authorities arrested 19-year-old Dyiesha Janaee Spraggin of Vance, Mississippi. She was taken into custody near Webb and subsequently charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the shooting of Kwaiyhone Hodges. Spraggin was then detained at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility as the investigation continued to unfold.
The following month, a second arrest was made in the case. Law enforcement officials apprehended 20-year-old Roddarius Moss of Glendora in March 2024. He was also charged with the murder of Kwaiyhone Hodges. Following his arrest, Moss was held at the Tallahatchie County Correctional Facility, with his bond set at $800,000. Both suspects faced serious charges as the legal process against them commenced.
