Death by Force

On February 16, 2024, 20-year-old Adrion Jayden Simmons was fatally shot in Conehatta, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at a residence on Campus Drive near Conehatta Elementary School. Choctaw Police responded to the scene and, upon determining that both the victim and the suspect were not Tribal members, contacted the Newton County Sheriff's Office to take over the investigation.
