In the quiet residential area of Bradley Road in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, a grim discovery was made on February 18, 2024. Forty-year-old Gastin White, a Black/African American male from Tupelo, was found deceased inside a home, the victim of a fatal shooting. He was not alone; alongside him was the body of 57-year-old Tabatha Moore, who had also been shot to death.
The Pontotoc County Sheriff's Office immediately launched a double homicide investigation into the deaths of White and
Moore. The news of the violent deaths sent ripples through the community as authorities worked to piece together the events that led to the tragedy. The investigation soon pointed to several individuals believed to be connected to the killings.
The efforts of law enforcement led to the apprehension of three suspects. Michael O'Neal and Lebreko Clark were taken into custody in connection with the double homicide. A third individual, Benoris Floyd, was also arrested and faced two counts of murder for his alleged involvement in the deaths of Gastin White and Tabatha Moore. Following his arrest, Floyd's bond was set at a substantial $1 million. As the legal process against the accused began, the investigation into the double homicide was reported to be ongoing.
