Death by Force

Demario Faulkner, 14, a Black male from Tupelo, was shot and killed on the evening of October 16, 2025, at the Nathaniel Place Apartments on the city’s south side. Officers were called around 7:40 p.m. and found two victims; Demario was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center, where he died. A second person was injured. The complex—formerly known as Barley Court—became the center of a fast-moving investigation as police secured the scene and gathered surveillance footage.
