On March 24, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a tragic incident occurred aboard a Greyhound bus traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 near Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Jay Jackson, a 25-year-old resident of Decatur, Georgia, was fatally shot during the journey. The assailant, identified as 26-year-old Rashad Price from Slidell, Louisiana, allegedly shot Jackson and then demanded that the bus driver stop to facilitate his escape.
