In the spring of 2024, the life of 19-year-old Raul Jones Jr. was tragically cut short in Canton, Mississippi. On Wednesday, April 10th, Jones was in the 900 block of South Liberty Street when he was shot multiple times.

Following the shooting, law enforcement initiated an investigation that quickly led to a suspect. Tazavier Elder, a 17-year-old, was identified and taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting. Elder has since been charged with murder for his alleged role in J ...
