On August 4, 2024, in Ridgeland, Mississippi, 76-year-old Vicky McDowell was tragically killed in a murder-suicide incident. Her son, 43-year-old William McDowell, fatally shot her in the chest before taking his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
