On September 2, 2024, Dewayne "Twin" Powell, aged 52, was fatally shot in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 400 block of North Ritchie Street, where Powell's vehicle veered off the road after he sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
