Death by Force

On October 26, 2024, at approximately 10 a.m., Hattiesburg Police responded to a report of a vehicle collision into a building on Park Place Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 36-year-old Zikoya Johnson Echols unresponsive inside the vehicle, with an apparent gunshot wound to her abdomen. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
