Jamil Thornton, a 17-year-old male, tragically lost his life in a violent encounter on January 2, 2023, in Detroit, Michigan. The incident, which unfolded on the city's east side, also resulted in the death of his 26-year-old brother, Daniel Berry. The two brothers were fatally shot inside their home located on Bewick and Charlevoix following a family argument.
