In the early morning hours of a Saturday in Highland Park, Michigan, a simple act of neighborly concern turned into a fatal encounter for Stanley Green Jr. On February 4, 2023, the 50-year-old man was at home with his girlfriend when she heard a loud noise outside. Green went to investigate and discovered someone attempting to break into his neighbor's car on Buena Vista Street. In an attempt to intervene and protect his neighbor's property, he was shot and killed.
