On April 23, 2023, Dr. Devon Hoover, a 53-year-old prominent neurosurgeon in Detroit, was found dead in the attic crawl space of his home. His body was discovered by police during a welfare check requested by his family after he failed to show up for a visit to his ailing mother in Indiana.
