On June 1, 2023, at approximately 12:16 p.m., 24-year-old Jamil Ahmad Kaine was fatally shot while working at a store inside the Mass Transportation Authority (MTA) bus station in downtown Flint, Michigan. Kaine, a resident of Dearborn, was engaged and preparing for graduation at the time of his death.
