On June 4, 2023, 24-year-old Donrell Savontay Patrick Canda was fatally shot at his residence in the 2500 block of Sandalwood Circle in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As Canda approached his home around 10:20 p.m., he was confronted by 22-year-old Sekou Conde, an acquaintance. An altercation ensued, during which Conde opened fire, striking Canda multiple times.
