On September 22, 2023, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded to a report of a subject down in the 1300 block of Cameron Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Upon arrival, they found 43-year-old Kunta Tavarius Davis lying unresponsive on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound.
