In the quiet neighborhood of Lansing, Michigan, the life of 35-year-old Shamika Leshay Parker, a Black female, was tragically cut short on the evening of November 18, 2023. Around 6 PM, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace on the 2800 block of Averill Drive. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Parker with a gunshot wound to her head.
