On November 18, 2023, Shamika Leshay Parker, a 35-year-old resident of Lansing, Michigan, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 2800 block of Averill Drive around 6 PM. Upon arrival, they found Parker suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
