On December 2, 2023, at approximately 8 p.m., officers from the Auburn Hills Police Department responded to a reported shooting at the Suburban Studio Hotel on Doris Road in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Upon arrival, they discovered 47-year-old Anthony Russell Holcomb, a resident of Auburn Hills, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services transported Holcomb to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
