Death by Force

On January 7, 2024, 11-year-old Latrelle Mines was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting on Detroit's east side. Around 7:30 p.m., while roller-skating with his cousins near the intersection of Beaconsfield and Courville streets, a vehicle approached, and an occupant opened fire, fatally striking Latrelle. His parents rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries during surgery.
