In the early morning hours of March 31, 2022, a family dispute in a Detroit, Michigan, home culminated in the tragic death of 23-year-old Dazion Zachary. The young Black / African American man was found by police in the basement of a residence on Sussex Street, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to his chest. Emergency medical responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
