On March 7, 2024, Brian Davionte Towns, a 30-year-old resident of Flint, Michigan, was shot and killed during a violent confrontation that stemmed from a neighborly dispute. The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. in the 3000 block of Ridgecliffe Drive. Upon arrival, Flint Township police found Towns suffering from a single gunshot wound.
