On April 29, 2024, 40-year-old Tyrone Louis Cannady was found deceased inside the K&D Market on South Jefferson Avenue in Saginaw, Michigan. Emergency responders arrived at the scene following reports of smoke emanating from the building. Upon extinguishing a small fire, they discovered Cannady's body; he had sustained one or more gunshot wounds. Cannady was an employee at the market, and his death marked Saginaw's eighth homicide of the year.
