Tyrone Cannady, known affectionately as 'Orange' because it was his favorite color, was a man with an entrepreneurial drive and a personality that left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Born in Saginaw on January 6, 1984, he was a graduate of Saginaw High School's class of 2002. He was the proprietor of a landscaping business called 'The Yard Barber' and a moving company named 'Delivery Guys,' through which he often assisted members of his community. Remembered for his humor and love for fishing, he was a charismatic figure at family gatherings and social events. He is survived by his mother, stepfather, and six children.
The investigation into Cannady's death moved swiftly, and authorities soon apprehended a suspect. Cetrice L. Bowens, a 36-year-old man from Flint, Michigan, was arrested in connection with the killing. Bowens was subsequently charged with first-degree murder, first-degree arson, and multiple felony weapons offenses. He was arraigned and held without bond in the Saginaw County Jail.
The legal proceedings that followed brought the case to a conclusion in September 2025. A jury found Cetrice L.
