In the summer of 2024, the life of Thomas Japriece Blackmon, Sr., a 35-year-old man from Lansing, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Saturday, June 15, 2024, a violent altercation erupted in the 4000 block of MacDougal Circle, near the intersection of Waverly and Jolly roads. The dispute, which took place at Blackmon's home, ended in a fatal shooting. Blackmon, known affectionately by friends and family as “Tommie Boy” or “Trouble,” was a father to five children.
