On June 15, 2024, Thomas Blackmon, a 35-year-old resident of Lansing, Michigan, was shot and killed in an incident that has left the community in shock. The shooting occurred around 10:19 p.m. in the 4000 block of MacDougal Circle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene but were unable to save Blackmon, who succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
