In the early hours of a late June morning in Detroit, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. Twenty-four-year-old Lance Avery, a male, was found on the roadway near the intersection of Third Street and Gladstone Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. The call came in at 12:54 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Avery, who had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the location.
