In Detroit, Michigan, on March 30, 2022, a verbal argument between two acquaintances escalated into a fatal encounter. Lamar Hakeem Addison, a 30-year-old man, was involved in a physical altercation in the 20250 block of Anglin Street. The dispute took a tragic turn when Addison was shot in the arm. When police arrived, they found him unresponsive.
The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Brandon Xavier White-Ratliff of Eastpointe, fled the scene after the incident.
He was, however, apprehended by law enforcement later that same day. Following his arrest, White-Ratliff was charged with second-degree murder and felony firearm. He was subsequently remanded to the Wayne County Jail.
Lamar Addison was a devoted father to his four children: Darcell, Denise, Maceo, and Lamar Jr. Remembered as a loving family man, he enjoyed working on muscle cars, listening to music, and working out. His sudden death left a void in the lives of his parents, siblings, and children.
