On July 5, 2024, 49-year-old Yolanda Cook was fatally shot in her home on Harper Avenue in Clinton Township, Michigan. Her 24-year-old son, Corey Deyshaun Cook, allegedly shot both Yolanda and his 31-year-old brother, Arkollin Dleon Cook. After the incident, Corey Cook went to the Clinton Township Police Department and informed officers of the shootings.
