Dequan Javon Fields, a 27-year-old man from Princess Anne, Maryland, was reported missing on January 12, 2023, after his family was unable to reach him. Fields' 2004 gold Dodge Durango was discovered abandoned at the Deal Island Wildlife Nature Preserve in Somerset County, with blood found inside the vehicle. The blood was later confirmed to match Fields' DNA.
