On February 13, 2023, at approximately 4:50 p.m., 30-year-old Brandon Avery Presson was fatally shot in the parking lot of Ritchie Station Marketplace in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Upon arrival, officers found Presson suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
